Recently, the 14th Zigong Staff Skills Competition Lantern Making Craft Competition was successfully held at the China Lantern Museum.In order to advocate the craftsman spirit and show the style of Lantern people,this competition is organized by the Municipal Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism Bureau and sponsored by Zigong Lantern Art Association in accordance with the "Notice on Carrying out the 14th Zigong staff Skills Competition" drafted by the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, and the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions.

The contestants hand draw on the unified palace lantern, which is divided into three rounds of competition: preliminary, semi-final and final. The judges will score the contestants' works from five aspects: picture content, uniform coloring and expressiveness, overall cleanliness and regularity, color painting speed and aesthetic coordination. After fierce competition, one first prize, two second prizes and two third prizes were finally selected.

After the competition, the players said that it is a rare opportunity to compete with top colleagues in the industry.The competition promoted the exchange and learning of Lantern skilled talents, created an atmosphere of learning and catching up in the lantern industry, and further encouraged the lantern personnel in our city to study hard, be brave in innovation, broaden their horizons, practice their skills hard, strive to be a model in the industry, and make an image representative for Zigong lantern.

More than 50 palace lantern works in the competition will be organized and collected by the China Lantern Museum.
