The two sides of the Taiwan Strait have the same root and family, seek roots and build the Chinese dream together.On September 15, the 2020 Cross-Strait (Kunshan) Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival press conference was held, announcing that the 2020 Cross-Strait (Kunshan) Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival will bloom on September 28 in Zhouzhuang Ancient Town and Huiju Square in the Development Zone.
The Lantern Festival is hosted by the People’s Government of Kunshan City, under the guidance of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, supported by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, the Chinese Cultural Association and the Taiwan Chinese Cross-Strait Exchange Association.It aims to further promote and deepen the construction of cross-strait industrial cooperation pilot zone, promote cross-strait exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, culture, tourism and other fields, continuously optimize the business environment, deepen the construction of mainland spiritual home for Taiwan businessmen, promote the building of city night economy brand of "sharing Kunshan night", prosper Kunshan tourism economy and create a new business card of Kunshan City, The site of this Lantern Festival is also Zhouzhuang and Huiju square in the Development Zone.
The theme of the Lantern Festival is "Flowers bloom and tie together, and lanterns reflect both sides of the Strait"There are two lantern zones, the Zhouzhuang Lantern Zone lasts for 31 days,from September 28th to October 28th;and the Development Zone Huiju Square Lantern Zone lasts for 23 days,from September 28th to October 20th.

CHAPTER 1
"Zhouzhuang Lantern Zone"
Relying on the pattern of water town, ancient town and rural Jiangnan,Zhouzhuang Lantern Zone integrates traditional lanterns with modern light and shadow art, focusing on creating three theme areas of water town, Taiwan old street and Xiangcun & Qizhuang. More than 110 lantern groups light up the night of Zhouzhuang.
CHAPTER 2
"WaterTown theme area"
With the theme of "Water Rhyme, Reminiscing Zhouzhuang at Night", it is composed of four sections: elegant life in ancient towns, leisurely life in the south of the Yangtze River, fun life in water towns and poetry and painting life in Zhouzhuang,which shows Zhouzhuang's beautiful water town style and simple folk customs.
CHAPTER 3
"Taiwan old street theme area"
With the theme of "Affection for both sides of the strait, the great beauty of Kunshan", it combines the typical Jiangnan culture with Taiwanese customs and features, uses scene lights, lighting shows, etc., to create a unique cultural area, which shows the colorful life of Kunshan,and fully demonstrates the charm of the customs on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
CHAPTER 4
"Xiangcun & Qizhuang theme area"
With the theme of "golden countryside, beautiful countryside", it focuses on happy countryside, golden rice fields and animal and plant sprouting areas, creates a scene lantern group to show the scene of rural wind blowing rice waves, and uses modern lighting technology and skills to show the unique pastoral flavor of Xiangcun.
In addition to the three themed areas, the Lantern Festival will create a lighting show area with the themes of Huaxiang and Yuxiang from Fuhong Bridge to Zhenfeng Bridge in the ancient town.There are equipped with lighting decorations in main road sections of ancient towns such as Zhouzhuang entrance and exit of Changjia Expressway, Daqiao Road, Diannan Road, Yunhai Road, Zhouzhuang Tourist Parking Lot,etc.
CHAPTER 5
"the Development Zone Huiju Square Lantern Zone"
There are three lantern groups,"Cross-Strait Affection & One Family", "Gather one heart & Pray for China", "Reunion Mid-Autumn Festival & Spend National Day Together",which give full play to the characteristics of the Development Zone and create an ambiguous feast of light and shadow.
With the theme of "gathering the feelings of both sides of the Strait, one family on both sides of the Strait", and inspired by bingdilian and homologous bridge, the Lantern groups"Cross-Strait Affection & One Family"combine the unique Taiwanese Mazu culture with the unique Jiangnan silk brocade and other elements of the Development Zone to create a prosperous scene of cross-strait integration and development and people living and working in peace and contentment, and show the vigorous vitality of openness, integration, innovation and enterprising of the Development Zone.
The lantern groups of "Gather one heart & Pray for China" take "One heart and one force, blessing China" as the theme, and creates a harmonious, happy and healthy festival atmosphere with the help of images such as the full moon, deer and peony, combined with the influence of Chinese traditional culture.
With the theme of "Two festivals together, family fun",and taken themed holiday elements such as Mid-Autumn Festival watching the moon, national beauty, heavenly fragrance, and full moon and flowers etc.as the main elements,the Lantern Groups "Reunion Mid-Autumn Festival & Spend National Day Together" that combine the modern light performance way show the people's harmonious, happy, warm and peaceful life scenes.
