This year, all lantern enterprices in Zigong will be committed to promoting the transformation and upgrading of the lantern industry, and blaze a new path for the development of IP, diversification, platforming, and industrialization of the lantern industry.They want to get rid of the drawbacks of a single product model, a single profit model, and a single business model, and lead the lantern industry to a new development journey.

Zigong lanterns have been assessed by the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Commerce and other ministries as a key national cultural export project and become a national key cultural product export base.There are 23 enterprises and 10 projects in Zigong successively as the annual national key cultural export enterprises and key projects by 6 ministries including the Ministry of Commerce.

This year is the "industrial transformation and upgrading" year of Zigong lanterns.

Zigong Lanterns will establish five specialized committees for art, planning, production, design, and fine arts to comprehensively improve the quality of lanterns, continue to promote the upgrade application of "Zigong Lantern Industry Standard", prepare a resource sharing platform, explore new mechanisms for the development of lantern enterprises, more actively integrate into the "Belt and Road" economic circle, and further promote the "Zigong Lantern Festival Global Travel".
