In April last year, Zigong was selected as one of the first batch of demonstration zones for industrial transformation and upgrading of old industrial cities and resource-based cities in the country.Zigong integrates the lantern industry as a national cultural export base into the overall layout of the transformation and upgrading demonstration zone, and cooperates with the Overseas Chinese Town Group to invest more than 7 billion yuan to create a China Lantern World.It is expected to receive more than 3.8 million tourists every year.Promote the transformation and development of the lantern industry, plan the construction of a lighting industrial park, promote the development of the entire industry chain of lanterns, and establish the School of Lanterns of Sichuan University of Technology to train and deliver senior talents for the development of the lantern cultural industry.
